Course Description

Pacific Studies examines the topics regarding Pasifika people, to build awareness around Pasifika culture, knowledge and contemporary issues.


You will learn to:

  • Describe aspects of your own lineage, whakapapa

  • Communicate an understanding into an aspect of Pacific society with guidance

  • Communicate detailed understanding of an aspect of Pacific culture through a presentation

  • Describe a social action that enables Pasifika to meet responsibilities and exercise rights

Recommended Prior Learning

Prior learning in 11GEO or 11HIS would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
